3ds Max Bones Skinning Animation This 8-minute video demonstrates the basics of how to create a simple character with bones. A basic body is created, body and leg bones are created and positioned, and then the bones are linked together to form a skeleton. Inverse Kinematic relationships are formed between the leg bones so they can be positioned by moving just the "foot" IK. The mesh is tied to the skeleton using the Skin modifier, and the creature is animated using keyframes
